About your therapist

My name is Melody Larsen, LPC, LMFT (she/her). I have been a practicing therapist for ten years, and I’m currently licensed to practice in Oregon, Montana, and Arizona.

I welcome and affirm clients across the spectrums of gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodivergence, relationship configuration, and religious or spiritual identity. I am committed to providing culturally responsive, effective care for clients of any race or national origin.

I treat individual clients from age 16 through adulthood, as well as couples. While I’m always learning and growing as a provider, my areas of specific interest and expertise are in treating trauma, anxiety disorders, and relationship or parenting concerns. I use a variety of approaches to therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety disorders and OCD. I have a master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon.

In my approach to therapy, I believe deeply in the healing powers of humor and a well-timed f-bomb. I’m here to help you find mental health and well-being on your own terms, and I’m committed to helping you build a life in alignment with your values. I know a few things about mental health, but you are the expert on your own life, and I will help you find solutions that honor your life experiences and work for you.

I live in the Pacific Northwest with my partner and our two kids, ages 7 and 4 at the time of writing. When I’m not being a therapist, I love gardening, cooking, and being outside. I’m thrilled to get to know you!
